The Sarangi Sessions Vol.2

The Sarangi Sessions Vol.2 is the result of a collaboration with four techno producers. The tracks vary from minimal techno to psytrance and hard techno and are all made with the sound of the sarangi. The EP will be released in march 2025.

These are the four producers that collaborated on this project:

Gamelios (Valencia)

Gamelios is an alias of Camiel Daamen. He stands out in the arena of underground house music with his distinctive live and DJ sets marked by a seamless tapestry of groove-laden tracks infused with percussive flair and jazzy sophistication. His reputation as a consummate artist has been cemented through a series of impactful releases on prestigious labels including Freeborn Records, Origins Records, Whoyostro, Viva Music, and Serkal Music, amongst others. A respected figure on the global stage, Daamen has honed his craft within the walls of iconic clubs and festivals such as Studio 80, Paradigm, Air, and Kater Blau, as well as international platforms like Zoo Project in Ibiza, Mysteryland, and the revered Burning Man. His footprints across Europe’s music landscape span Germany, England, Poland, Macedonia, Turkey, Malta, and Ibiza, showcasing a versatility that transcends cultural and geographic borders. Beyond performance, Camiel Daamen is deeply entrenched in the educational realm of music through his initiative, Lessons In Live. Here, he transfers his extensive 24-year tenure in music production to aspiring talents. His expertise further extends to speaking engagements at acclaimed industry events such as Dancefair, Amsterdam Dance Event, Sound Education, and the SAE Institute Amsterdam, offering profound insights into music production, live performance, and creative workflow. Embodied by the motif ‘Music is life,’ Camiel Daamen’s approach transcends mere entertainment, encapsulating an enduring ethos that defines not only his music but also his contribution to the cultural fabric of contemporary house music.electro, break beats’ raw energy, EBM’s industrial punch, techno’s relentless drive, and trance’s hypnotic rhythms. Henjo Techno Show (Utrecht)

Henjo Hielkema is a wild techno producer with a live show that blows your mind. Crazy glitched out visuals vibe to his own productions. All of this is live with lots of room for improvisation. Henjo orchestrates a family of synthesizers, home soldered gadgets and percussive instruments while playing keys and manipulating his own voice. Henjo has had crowds raving across the planet. His music veers from instrumental to experimental and hard hitting dark stuff with heavy synthesizer riffs

James Lost (Groningen)

James Lost is the name of a collaboration of two producers, Michael Pasman and Bas van Driel. Michael Pasman aka Dj Mimics always has vibe to bring, and in this case he was more than happy to record Vincent’s sarangi and create a spell bounding track around it. He started his DJ career on vinyl, and is especially happy to get back to the groove with this track. Going back to the early nineties, his feel for rhythm and drive has always made him search those unique driving baselines, and this track certainly is no exception. He has teamed up with Bas van Driel, aka Bassid, known for his very own taste of musical psy and tech trance and feel for pulsing arrangements and composition. Together they created this track, Ginger, as a testament that music combined is always better, as in this case are the new electronic vibes and this ancient instrument, together blending into a dance floor killer that takes you on an eastern journey into sound.

Ricardo Carota (Amsterdam)

Ricardo Carota recently got nominated for the future DJ award alongside with Charlotte de Witte and Amelie Lens and that year’s Influencer of the Year award. Most of you probably know Ricardo Carota and followed him on his adventures in recent years. A fresh wave of energy has helped him to find a new path on this musical journey and feeds him with fresh inspiration. This path is opening new doors for Ricardo Carota as an artist. A long time ago Ricardo Carota started off with a preference for hip-hop music, which slowly evolved in dance music. Nowadays this sound has matured into a characteristic vibe and he wants to share this musical gift with the world in as much ways as he can.
